Job summary

Truist seeks a seasoned financial professional to act as a strategic business consultant for assigned lines of business. You will lead financial analyses, develop short- and long-term forecasts, and influence the annual financial plan.

The role requires mentoring analysts, ensuring data integrity, and providing executive-level insights for key decisions such as pricing and product development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent education and related training.
  • Eight years of relevant accounting or finance experience with complex financial analysis.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and produce deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of business strategies and processes; ability to build consensus.

This role serves as a strategic business consultant to lines of business, providing financial analysis and guidance for high-impact decisions including new product development, pricing, profitability, and investment/divestiture opportunities. Leads performance evaluations, prepares executive-level insights, and owns the development of short- and long-term forecasts and the annual financial plan. Operates with a high degree of independence and strategic influence.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education and related training.
  • Eight years of relevant accounting or finance experience that includes complex financial analysis.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance. Proactive in completing tasks and producing deliverables.
  • Sound and comprehensive understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes. Ability to build consensus through communication and presentation of factual and relevant information.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interpret and communicate financial analysis to business partners in a concise and useful manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound and logical decision‑making abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work well with others in a dynamic, team‑oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with GAAP. High proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and other basic software products. Financial Modeling experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience
  • Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or Chartered Financial Analyst
  • Master's degree of MBA
  • Specific financial services or specialized industry experience.
  • Proficient in Essbase/Hyperion, EPM/BPC, or other enterprise accounting software.
  • Experience with macros/VBA.
