Axiom is seeking a Financial Management Analyst to support the DoD in the Washington, DC area.

An active Secret or Top Secret Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

This is an upcoming opportunity contingent on contract award.

The Financial Management Analyst provides comprehensive financial support aligned with the DoD's Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. Responsibilities include supporting budget formulation, execution, reconciliation, monitoring obligation and expenditure data, managing funding documents, and preparing financial reports and forecasts for senior leadership. The role involves detailed resource planning and tracking across fiscal years, ensuring compliance with DoD PPBE timelines and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support preparation, justification, and execution of financial division budgets.
• Monitor, collect, and reconcile obligation and expenditure data.
• Track approved, deferred, and released funds and maintain audit trails.
• Assist with developing decision support tools, graphs, and briefings.
• Ensure compliance with DoD financial guidance, policies, and controls.
• Provide data call support and financial input to higher headquarters.
• Assist in developing and maintaining multi-year budget plans.
• Analyze historical data and trends to support budget recommendations.
• Coordinate with leadership to justify budget requests.
• Prepare spend plans, execution summaries, and reprogramming documentation.
• Respond to financial data calls with accurate, timely submissions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
• 5+ years in DoD financial management, including PPBE experience.
• Familiarity with DoD budgeting practices.
• Proficiency in DoD financial systems (e.g., GFEBS, DEAMS, DAI, FM Suite).
• Experience with DoD budget formulation and justification.
• Knowledge of DoD appropriations categories (O&M, RDT&E, etc.).

Clearance

• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and pass a background check.
• Maintain applicable security clearance levels as required.
