Description
Chevo is hiring an experienced OCFO Financial Management Analyst to join our expanding firm. This position provides the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client's business better than they know it and to become a trusted advisor.Ideal candidates will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to supporting financial management within a Department of Defense (DoD) organization. This position is a hybrid working environment, with onsite client engagement expected, located in the Washington DC area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor internal controls.
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Assist with accounting software and tools: Oversee FM accounting systems and ensure data is entered correctly and efficiently.
  • Ensure data integrity: Maintain accurate and secure financial records within the system.
  • Identify and implement best practices for improving efficiency in accounting functions (e.g., automation of routine tasks).
  • Provide functional support for the accounting system, including help desk assistance and resolution of minor end-user issues.
  • Prioritize requirements for systems development.
  • Provide training on business systems and user roles/responsibilities for functional task execution.
  • Design, implement, and maintain financial reporting systems and tools.
  • Create and sustain financial reporting databases.
  • Conduct variance analysis, investigate significant variances, and recommend corrective actions.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree, plus 10 years of financial management experience in a Working Capital Fund (WCF) environment,
  • Or 5 years of experience and any of the following degrees/certifications; a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Certified Defense Finance Manager (CDFM), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting one or more DoD organizations
  • Experience in accounting operations management desirable.
  • Ability to build dashboards to visualize data
  • Experience with intelligent automation such as RPA and AI
SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $95,000
