Contact Government Services (CGS) seeks a dedicated Financial Litigation Unit Paralegal to support criminal and civil debt collection through investigative and legal research. You will draft motions, analyze financial records, coordinate with witnesses and agencies, and help build solid cases for pursuing debts owed to the U.S.

Qualifications

• Examine and evaluate information in case files for litigation worthiness
• Determine need for additional information, surveys, evidence, and witnesses
• On-site visits to evaluate relevance and worth of evidence
• Select, summarize, and compile data to show deficiencies in illegal practices
• Review economic trends to evaluate impact of prosecutions
• Identify record-keeping systems and data sources for research
• Interview potential witnesses and prepare them for court appearances
• Prepare legal documents including complaints, motions, judgments, garnishments for filing

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial investigations and provide analytical services for debt collection.
• Prepare and organize evidence and discovery from various sources.
• Monitor case progress and ensure timely filing of pleadings and documents.
• Draft legal briefs, motions, foreclosures, garnishments for review.
• Analyze tax records and credit reports to assess assets and collectability.
• Use databases and public records to obtain data and determine applicable statutes.
• Interview debtors and third parties to evaluate effectiveness of action.
• Prepare a variety of legal documents and exhibits for pre- and post-judgment actions.
