Job summary

Starr Insurance Companies seeks a Financial Institutions Underwriting Manager to lead underwriting, management, and growth of a diverse portfolio in the Central Region, with potential expansion to the West Coast. The role requires deep knowledge of Directors & Officers, E&O, Fiduciary, EPL, and Crime & Fidelity liabilities and serves as a key resource for clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders.

You will manage a portfolio ranging from middle-market to large, complex financial institutions

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
7–12+ years of experience in Financial Institutions with leadership capabilities.
Established broker relationships and strong reputation within Financial Institutions network.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of Financial Institutions from middle-market to large complex clients.
Serve as primary contact for clients, brokers and internal stakeholders.
Lead new and renewal strategy discussions and presentations with clients and brokers.
Maintain underwriting best practices per guidelines and support product development.
Assess governance structures, risk management practices and regulatory developments.
Analyze financial performance and capital structure to evaluate risk profile.
