Job summary

Goddard Riverside's Resource Center in New York provides services to help low-income individuals access entitlements, benefits and resources. The Financial Mobility Case Manager develops stabilization plans, connects clients to benefits and supports long-term economic resilience.

The role involves conducting financial assessments, coordinating with counselors and partners, and promoting client autonomy while maintaining confidentiality in a client-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Business, Financial Counseling or related field; OR High School Diploma/GED with 2–3 years of relevant case management and/or financial counseling/coaching experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive financial assessments to identify barriers to household financial stability.
• Identify immediate financial crises requiring intervention (loss of income, rent arrears, utility shutoffs, etc.).
• Complete government benefits applications to maximize resources.
• Connect clients to benefits, housing support, workforce resources, and financial counseling.
• Develop individualized financial stabilization and mobility plans; educate on budgeting, banking, savings, credit and debt reduction.
