Job summary

Alliance for Community Empowerment Inc. seeks a Financial Wellness Case Worker to provide person-centered case management and financial wellness support across our service areas in Connecticut.

You will assess, educate, coach, and help navigate resources to improve participants' financial knowledge and stability. Under supervision, you will develop curricula, assist with benefit applications, document interactions, and travel to community sites to engage with participants and partners, ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Social Services, Human Services, Public Health, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Associate's degree with 2–4 years of relevant experience acceptable.
• Experience in community-based programs addressing financial stability or health equity.
• Experience with financial education, coaching, resource navigation, or case management.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of local community resources.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with participants, partners, and staff.
• Develop and deliver financial wellness curricula and educational programs.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and create individualized action plans.
• Document encounters, referrals, and outcomes accurately.
• Assist participants with applications for benefits and services.
• Travel to community locations to provide services.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional standards.
