Job summary

US Fertility is seeking a Remote Financial Educator to support patients across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. The role offers weekday hours 8:00 AM–4:30 PM ET with pay of $23–$27 per hour, commensurate with experience. Join a national network of fertility centers dedicated to compassionate care and patient advocacy.

You will educate patients on insurance benefits, assist with verifications, and guide financial planning throughout their care journey, in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 4 years of medical business office experience with healthcare billing, collections, insurance/benefits, and patient interaction.
• Experience reading payer remittance advice and differentiating charges, adjustments, denials, and patient responsibility.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience in OB/GYN office is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-department interaction.
• Strong written and oral communication; independent and detail-oriented.
• Proficient with Microsoft programs: Outlook, Word, Excel.
• High level of customer service is essential.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Remote Financial Educator to support our team in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

• Schedule:Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Eastern Time
• Compensation:$23.00 to 27.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the Financial Educatorwill:

• Consult with patients regarding their benefits, coverage and financial options
• Perform aspects of benefit verification and prior authorization
• Provide ongoing financial education and assistance to our patients throughout the continuum of their care, as an educator, advocate, and liaison
• Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal financial and insurance information

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications and Skills Include:

• Minimum 2 to 4 years of medical business office experience, with working knowledge of healthcare billing and collections, insurance/benefits, and patient interaction
• Must have experience reading and understanding payer remittance advice. Includes the ability to differentiate between allowed charges, contractual adjustments, line item denials/reasons, patient responsibility (co-pay, co-insurance, and deductibles), etc.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Experience working in an OB/GYN office is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills required to communicate with departments, employees, physicians, managers, patients, and insurance companies
• Strong oral and written communication skills, independent worker, detailed-oriented, computer savvy
• Proficient with Microsoft programs, specifically Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel
• High level of customer service essential
