RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Financial Database Developer (Oracle) for a remote role.

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Remote Financial Database Developer (Oracle) with deep expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and database-driven application development. This role is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions that support critical business processes. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient database applications, while also mentoring junior developers and contributing to architectural decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize complex PL/SQL procedures, packages, triggers, and functions to support enterprise applications
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and database solutions
  • Maintain and enhance existing Oracle-based systems, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate database components with front-end and middleware systems
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of PL/SQL code to ensure data accuracy and system integrity
  • Document database structures, processes, and procedures in compliance with internal standards
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, promoting best practices in database development
  • Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and database refactoring initiatives
  • Work with external vendors and internal stakeholders to support project delivery and system enhancements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5-7 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development and database-centric application design
  • Strong understanding of relational database design, data modeling, and SQL performance tuning
  • Experience with Oracle Developer tools, Oracle Enterprise Applications, and database integration
  • Familiarity with additional technologies such as Unix/Linux scripting, Java, .NET, or XML is a plus
  • Proficient in using tools like Toad, SQL Developer, and Oracle Enterprise Manager
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
