Financial Data Analytics Business Partner - REMOTE

Job Summary

The Fleet Management Solutions Financial Data Analytics team is responsible for data mining, financial analysis, and reporting on the 150,000 vehicles owned by Ryder. The team determines optimal asset management strategies to maximize profitability, works with Operations leadership to implement solutions, and calculates the financial improvements resulting from those actions. Operating in a fast-paced environment, the team utilizes cutting-edge analytics to promote data-driven decision making throughout the organization.

Essential Functions

• Seek out new areas of potential improvement, analyze root causes, question assumptions, and pursue continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with business partners to identify cost savings, model impacts on P&L, assess risks, create progress reports, and communicate savings to senior leadership.
• Mine data using SQL to discover trends, identify cause-and-effect relationships, and advise on potential business actions.
• Create automated reports in Power BI to communicate performance metrics and highlight improvement areas.
• Ensure data completeness and accuracy by working with Operations and IT to understand business processes and data storage.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency with Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
• Working knowledge of SQL, R, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Advanced understanding of financial modeling and how business actions impact financial statements.
• Proven ability to drive business results through data insights.
• Passion for uncovering solutions in large data sets and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Ability to make recommendations to senior management based on data.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Math, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Corporate Finance, Statistical Analysis, or Transportation Industrial Engineering preferred.

Additional Information

Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000, with full benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, paid time off, and 401(k).
