Summary

The Fleet Management Solutions Financial Data Analytics team is responsible for data mining, financial analysis, and reporting on the 150,000 vehicles owned by Ryder. The team determines optimal asset management strategies to maximize profitability and works with Operations leadership to implement solutions and measure financial improvements. Our team operates in a fast-paced environment, utilizing cutting-edge analytics to promote data-driven decision making throughout the organization.

Essential Functions

• Seek out new areas for potential improvement, analyze root causes, question assumptions, and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with business partners to identify cost savings, model impacts on P&L, assess risks, create reports, and report savings to leadership.
• Mine data in SQL to discover trends, analyze cause-and-effect, and advise on potential business actions.
• Create automated reports in Power BI to communicate performance metrics and identify improvement areas.
• Ensure data completeness and accuracy by working with Operations and IT to understand processes and data storage.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills And Abilities

• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as R, Python, etc.
• Strong financial modeling skills and understanding of business impacts on financial statements.
• Proven ability to drive results through data insights.
• Passion for analyzing large data sets and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Ability to make and communicate recommendations to senior management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
