Financial Data Analytics Business Partner - REMOTE

Job Overview

The Fleet Management Solutions Financial Data Analytics team is responsible for data mining, financial analysis, and reporting on Ryder's fleet of 150,000 vehicles. The team aims to optimize asset management strategies to maximize profitability, working closely with Operations leadership to implement solutions and measure financial improvements. Operating in a fast-paced environment, the team utilizes advanced analytics to promote data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Essential Functions

• Seek out new improvement opportunities, analyze root causes, question assumptions, and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with business partners to identify cost savings, model impacts on P&L, assess risks, create reports, and report results to senior leadership.
• Mine data using SQL to identify trends, determine causes, and advise on potential actions.
• Create automated dashboards and reports in Power BI to communicate performance metrics and improvement areas.
• Ensure data integrity by working with Operations and IT to understand business processes and data storage.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI, and scripting languages like R or Python.
• Strong financial modeling skills and understanding of how business actions impact financial statements.
• Proven ability to drive results through data insights.
• Passion for analyzing large data sets and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Math, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in Corporate Finance, Statistical Analysis, or Transportation Industrial Engineering.

Additional Information

Position is full-time, salaried, with a pay range of $80,000 - $100,000. Ryder offers comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, paid time off, and a 401(k).
