Job summary

Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock is seeking a dedicated Admissions Support Specialist to verify demographics and insurance for newborns and OB transports, and to assist with the federally facilitated insurance marketplace.

You will collect payments, manage follow-ups via email and CRM, handle Medicaid intake and related applications, and ensure no-surprise billing compliance while collaborating with state resources to enroll patients.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• High school diploma or GED recommended.
• Entry level position; experience not required.
• Experience with Medicaid/insurance intake preferred but not required.
• CAC certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Perform efficient interviews to ensure accurate demographic capture and insurance verification for newborns and OB transports.
• Assist for federally facilitated insurance marketplace.
• Collect deductible, co-pay and all other applicable forms of payment, including ongoing payment plans.
• Conduct efficient follow-up to include: work queue management, email, CRM, In-basket, reports and insurance/COBRA coordination and documentation.
• Perform Medicaid intake, SSI, FAP and CHC Application process, including RX, renal and any other available external resources.
• Maintain No-Surprise-Billing compliance through written and verbal notification of price estimates, including ABN and Self-pay absolute protocol.
• Collaborate with clinical and state resources to ensure timely enrollment with Medicaid primary care physicians.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
