Responsibilities

• Meet with patients/guarantors to verify insurance benefits and eligibility for admission.
• Collect co-pays/deductibles and establish payment plans.
• Coordinate with intake and utilization departments and assist with discharge planning to limit non-payment.
• Document all collection activities in the accounting system.
• Identify accounts for contract, administrative, or charity write-offs as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
