Description

The Financial Counselor is responsible for maintaining communication with patients, facilities, insurance companies, and physicians on patient liability prior to surgical procedures.

Schedule:Mon - Fri: 8am - 4:30pm

Hours per Week:40

Location:fully remote

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED minimum education requirement
• Intermediate computer skills with MS Office and EMR system experience
• Must have 1+ years of patient service experience
• Current RO employees must have 1+ years tenure in their current position andbe in good standing with no performance or attendance issues

Essential Duties:

• Maintains contact with patients on out of pocket costs, self pay fees, deductibles, and co-insurance on surgeries.
• Maintains contact with insurance companies on patient costs for surgeries.
• Sustains open communication with physicians on status of patient surgeries.
• Corrects and updates patient demographic information.
• Corrects and updates patient insurance information.
• Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
