This role manages workers’ compensation and liability claims, coordinates with multiple corporate functions and external partners, and contributes to treasury operations and corporate finance initiatives. It offers high visibility with executive leadership and broad exposure to global insurance placements, risk financing strategies, and complex multinational insurance programs.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee claims administration activities, including workers’ compensation and liability claim reporting, claim analysis, reserve discussions, and loss reporting.
  • Manage insurance renewals and ensure timely, accurate handling of claims and related documentation.
  • Work closely with Legal, Finance, HR, Operations, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), insurance brokers, and underwriters to support effective risk management and insurance program performance.
  • Manage property and casualty insurance certificates, ensuring appropriate coverage and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Support contract insurance reviews by interpreting insurance contracts and policy terms and assessing risk exposures.
  • Prepare premium allocations and provide budget guidance to support financial planning and forecasting.
  • Monitor loss trends, perform loss run analysis, and prepare management reports that highlight key risk and performance indicators.
  • Respond to insurance-related inquiries from business locations and provide clear, timely guidance on coverage, claims, and risk issues.
  • Provide backup support for treasury functions, including cash forecasting, cash management, and foreign exchange activities.
  • Collaborate with brokers, carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), and legal teams to manage claims, renewals, and global risk programs.
  • Contribute to strategic risk management initiatives, including captive insurance and global risk financing strategies.
  • Demonstrate proactive, go-getter energy in driving process improvements, enhancing reporting, and supporting executive leadership and the Corporate Treasurer.
Essential Skills
  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial insurance, claims management, or related financial controls roles.
  • Hands-on experience managing insurance renewals and claims, including workers’ compensation and liability claims.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance policies, coverage structures, and property and casualty (P&C) insurance.
  • Experience supporting claims administration activities and participating in reserve discussions.
  • Proficiency in risk management practices, including loss run analysis and monitoring loss trends.
  • Ability to interpret insurance contracts and policy language accurately and apply findings to contract risk review.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with experience in premium allocation and budget planning.
  • Experience working with brokers, carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), and legal teams.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across Finance, Legal, Operations, HR, and EHS.
  • Ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment and support global risk programs.
  • Demonstrated proactive, go-getter energy and the ability to drive tasks to completion.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are preferred for financial analysis, premium allocation, and reporting.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial company environment is preferred.
  • Exposure to captive insurance structures and risk financing strategies is preferred.
  • Background in corporate finance or treasury operations, including cash forecasting, cash management, or foreign exchange activities, is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with complex multinational insurance programs and global risk management initiatives is an advantage.
Work Environment

The role operates in a hybrid work environment, with three days onsite and two days remote each week. The position involves regular collaboration with Finance, Legal, Operations, HR, EHS, brokers, carriers, and other stakeholders in a global, publicly traded manufacturing organization. The work setting emphasizes cross-functional teamwork, high visibility to executive leadership and the Corporate Treasurer, and exposure to global insurance placements, risk financing strategies, treasury operations, and corporate finance.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $110000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
