Job summary

SPS North America is seeking a Financial Controller in New York to oversee controllership activities and deliver timely, accurate financial reporting for one business line. You will lead monthly close, forecasting, and partner with Operations, Sales and other leaders to drive performance.

The role emphasizes strong analytical capabilities, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to influence and lead initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
Approximately 5–7+ years of accounting/finance experience; 10–12 years progressive finance preferred.
Experience with financial reporting, month-end close, P&L analysis, forecasting and controls.
CPA considered a plus but not required.
Strong Excel and MS Office skills; SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead monthly P&L and forecast for the assigned business line.
Analyze financial reports, identify trends and communicate findings to leadership.
Support month-end close and year-end close processes.
Provide analyses of contracts, revenue, costs, margins and profitability.
Develop financial reports, dashboards and tools for visibility into performance.
Strengthen financial controls and standardized processes across functions.
