Job summary

A.G. Maas Company in Indianapolis is seeking a hands-on Controller to own day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and cash flow management across our facility supply and construction divisions.

The ideal candidate will ensure accurate, timely financial information, provide ownership with clear insights, and collaborate with ownership, the operations team, and our outside CPA firm. This role offers growth opportunities as we expand, with involvement in budgeting, internal controls, and system

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with financial reporting and month-end close.
• Experience in construction accounting, job costing, progress billing, and retainage.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, and CPA familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly and year-end close processes with reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare timely financial statements and explain trends and variances to ownership.
• Develop reporting for revenue, gross margin, and profitability by division.
• Coordinate with outside CPA for tax and year-end reporting.
