Halma plc, a global leader in engineered sensor manufacturing, seeks a hands-on Financial Controller in Texas. You will build and lead a scalable accounting function, ensuring timely close, strong controls, and rigorous group reporting across international operations.

This role partners with the CFO and plant leadership to optimize margins, manage multi-currency cash and intercompany eliminations, and drive process improvements in a high-growth environment. CPA or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Proven success as a Controller or senior finance leader in a high-growth or complex global environment.
  • Strong background in manufacturing and cost accounting.
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS and multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
  • Experience operating within a public company or structured reporting environment.
  • Track record of building and scaling finance functions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of management accounts, statutory inputs and group reporting across all global entities.
  • Lead monthly and annual close processes with a focus on speed, rigor, and transparency and clear evidence of review.
  • Deliver clear, actionable financial insights to support CFO-led decision-making.
  • Lead standard costing, inventory valuation, and production variance analysis across international operations.
  • Partner with operations and plant leadership to identify cost drivers and improve margins.
  • Drive visibility into manufacturing performance and implement scalable cost control processes.
  • Remain deeply involved in core accounting processes, including complex reconciliations, multi-currency cash management, intercompany accounting and eliminations.
  • Build and maintain a robust internal control environment aligned with public company standards.
  • Lead audit processes and maintain readiness for internal and external audit scrutiny.

Our organization combines the agility of a scaling business with the discipline, governance, and long-term investment approach of a globally recognized public company.Finance plays a central role in driving performance and value, with the CFO actively leading financial strategy, operational decision-making, and alignment with public company governance, group reporting and audit expectations.**Position Overview**We are seeking a highly driven, hands-on Financial Controller to build and lead a best-in-class accounting function in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.This role is a critical partner to the CFO and operating leadership, responsible for delivering accurate, decision-ready financial; strengthening close, controls and reporting; and establishing the finance infrastructure needed to scale globally. The Controller will operate at the intersection of corporate leadership and international manufacturing operations, ensuring strong financial discipline while enabling speed and execution.This is an execution-focused leadership role for someone who thrives in a high-performance environment, balancing urgency, accountability, and compliance within a publicly traded framework.
