An experienced Controller is sought by my client. This is a permanent hire (not a contract). Your talent will lead the accounting team for the largest up-scale supplier to national home-builders. This impressive privately owned manufacturing company has a legacy of success, and a stable customer base. Headquarters are in Pomona, California with a manufacturing facility in Tijuana, Mexico. Responsibilities include:

1. Orchestrate daily accounting/finance operations (AR, AP, GL, payroll, etc.)
2. Produce accurate, timely financial reports (including consolidation of Mexico operations, hence the need for Spanish proficiency)
3. Oversee risk management, insurance, and compliance programs
4. Manage Job Costing and WIP, conduct cost margin analysis
5. Assess and improve ERP and IT systems, track KPIs, harness Business Intelligence
6. Complete the closing process (monthly, quarterly, yearly)
7. Handle budgeting and forecasting
8. Coordinate with external CPA regarding tax and audits
9. Supervise 7 direct reports

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (additional credentials are a plus)
2. Willing to work onsite in Pomona and undertake bi-monthly travel to Tijuana, Mexico
3. Skilled in business intelligence (KPI tracking) and financial analysis to guide decisions
4. Experience in a broad spectrum of accounting duties, including job costing and WIP, with hands-on technical skills
5. Strong GAAP knowledge, including revenue recognition
6. Tech-savvy, proficient in Excel and accounting software; experience with ERP conversions and SQL preferred
7. Industry experience relevant to manufacturing subcontractors
