Job summary

Prestige Wellness Group, a leader in luxury wellness design and delivery, is seeking a hands-on Controller in New York. You will own core accounting processes, drive cash flow strategy, and partner with leadership to strengthen financial controls and reporting.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of accounting/finance experience.
• Experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Own cash flow management strategy: daily liquidity, weekly forecast, long-range planning.
• Develop rolling cash flow forecasts and advise on spending priorities and capital allocation.
• Provide leadership with visibility into cash position, obligations, and risks.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning within approved budgets.
• Analyze financial performance and suggest improvements for profitability and efficiency.
• Evaluate financing needs and support lending relationships and capital planning.
• Supervise and develop the accounting team, setting clear accountability standards.
• Ensure ERP system accuracy to support reliable reporting and decision-making.
• Maintain month-end close, GL integrity, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls and financial governance for growth.
• Manage investor and leadership reporting requests and timing.
• Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Project Management for planning and reporting.

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Controller to bring structure, accountability, and visibility to our financial operations. This role will own core accounting processes while partnering with leadership to improve cash flow management, payroll reliability, and financial controls. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves role in a developing finance function.

What You'll Do

• Own the company's cash flow management strategy, including daily liquidity management, weekly forecasting, and long-range cash planning.
• Develop rolling cash flow forecasts and provide recommendations regarding spending priorities, capital allocation, and risk mitigation.
• Provide executive leadership with visibility into cash position, future obligations, and financial risks.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes while ensuring the company operates within approved budgets.
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and cash preservation.
• Evaluate financing needs and support lending relationships, financing initiatives, and capital planning.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, establishing clear standards for accountability and performance.
• Ensure the ERP system remains accurate, current, and capable of supporting reliable financial reporting and executive decision-making.
• Maintain ownership of month-end close, general ledger integrity, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and financial governance to support company growth.
• Serve as the primary owner of investor and leadership financial reporting requests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Partner with HR, Operations, and Project Management to improve planning, reporting, and financial discipline across the organization.
