Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller in Jones, MI to lead our accounting operations and close processes. This on-site, permanent role partners with executives on budgeting and strategic financial planning.

The successful candidate will manage a high-performing team, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive improvements in cost accounting within a manufacturing setting. A CPA and 5–10+ years of leadership accounting are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA (or similar certification) is preferred.
• 5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Tax services experiences is strongly preferred.
• Experience with inventory accounting and ERP systems (Dynamics, SAP, Oracle).
• Proven ability to lead month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
