Jobot is hiring a Financial Controller in Chicago. This hybrid, permanent role calls for owning the accounting and finance function with accountability for month-end close and GAAP-based reporting.

You will collaborate with operations across multiple sites and leverage ERP systems to drive accurate financials. The ideal candidate has 5–8+ years in progressive accounting roles, a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and demonstrated experience in a fast-growing, multi-site environment.

Job Details

This is a unique role for someone who's ready to take more ownership of the accounting/finance function.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5 to 8+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience
• Background in a fast-growing, smaller-scale business where you've worn multiple hats

Core Accounting Skills

• Solid working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Hands-on ownership of the month-end close process
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort with ERP and accounting systems

Environment Fit

• Exposure to operational or industrial settings is a plus
• Experience supporting a business with more than one site is highly valued
