Job summary

We are seeking a Controller to lead the finance operations of a legacy manufacturer in the building materials space. This role involves managerial tasks in accounting and finance while facilitating growth and operational efficiency within the company. The ideal candidate will be experienced in manufacturing finance and prepared to implement innovative processes to enhance performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in accounting/finance, 3+ at Controller level
• Deep understanding of manufacturing environments
• Experience in public accounting is a plus

Base pay range

$140,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr

You’ll lead the financial function end to end, partner closely with operations, and drive the kind of insights and improvements that make a real dent.

What You’ll Do:

• Own accounting and finance ops—reporting, AP/AR, budgeting, forecasting
• Lead and develop a trusted, capable team
• Overhaul and improve processes, reporting, and internal controls
• Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the CFO and senior leadership
• Optimize ERP + leverage financial data to inform real business decisions
• Support audits, tax, legal, and compliance with precision

What You Bring:

• 8+ years in accounting/finance, 3+ in a Controller-level leadership role
• Deep understanding of manufacturing or distribution environments
• Advanced Excel + reporting system fluency
• A “roll-up-your-sleeves” mindset—you own the numbers like they’re yours
• CPA or public accounting experience = big plus
• Bonus points if you’ve helped a mid-size company scale smartly
