Experienced full-cycle Recruiter specializing in Finance & Accounting roles

I'm partnering with one of the largest media agencies in the world to hire a Global Controller reporting directly to the Global CFO.

Rather than typical global controllership, this role focuses on:

• Global Audit - work hand-in-hand with the new external auditor (the relationship has just switched after 20 years and they have a new approach which needs attention)
• Technical Accounting - Need IFRS experience
• Lead the development of a new balance sheet review and analysis process - go onsite to different markets/countries around the world and sit down with regional finance teams to recreate processes
• Be the expert on revenue recognition guidance, client incentive accounting, including IFRS 15
• Build relationships with reginal finance teams and work with them to resolve complex technical accounting issues
• ALSO have traditional Controllership experience - month end, getting books closed, financial reporting, etc.

You are:

• Need people with a combo of Audit, Technical Accounting, IFRS, and traditional Controllership
• Ideal candidates have CPA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
• Need experience working at a large global company with a multi-national scope
• Must understand client billing
• 10 - 20 years of experience - 15 years is the sweet spot!
• Okay traveling twice a quarter
• Compensation: $275k - $300k base salary + 20%-30% cash bonus + equity
• 3 days per week in office in NYC (Manhattan)
