• Five years of experience in a technical public contact capacity in a governmental regulatory agency or a large business organization.
• College training may substitute for the General Experience.
• Master or related substitutions may apply as described in the job posting.

Responsibilities

• Receives consumer complaints and inquiries by phone, in writing and in person.
• Independently investigates complaints or conducts research to determine proper course of action or referral.
• Provides technical assistance and requests information from consumers and businesses relating to the problem.
• Explains laws and agency regulations to members of the general public.
• Keeps records, writes reports, and may participate in hearings or draft orders.
