The State of Connecticut Department of Banking seeks a Financial Examiner in Hartford, CT, to conduct examinations of financial entities and review regulatory compliance across banks and credit unions.

You will perform inquiries, analyze financial statements, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders. The role offers a hybrid schedule (in-office and telework) and supports consumer protection and financial supervision.

Qualifikationen

• Six (6) years of experience in the regulation of financial entities or in accounting, auditing, banking or finance.
• Two (2) years of the General Experience must have been at the paraprofessional level.
• Substitutions allowed include Accounting/Career Trainee programs, and college credit substitutions for experience.

Aufgaben

• Conduct or assist in examinations and investigations of banks, credit unions, broker-dealers, investment advisers, mortgage companies, consumer lenders and other financial entities.
• Review financial statements, loan files, investments, management policies, consumer complaints, risk management programs, advertising and licensing information.
• Investigate, research and document apparent violations of laws and policy; communicate findings to stakeholders.
