Concern Housing is seeking a Financial Case Manager to provide financial management services for tenants in NYC housing programs. The role includes rent collection support, benefit eligibility, budgeting education, and liaising with SSA and HRA as the organization’s representative payee.

Responsibilities include case management, housing assistance, and coordinating payments and documentation. The position emphasizes financial literacy and ongoing compliance with agency requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and 2 years in a similar setting preferably with mental health populations.
• Knowledge of Social Security, Public Assistance, and Medicaid systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management services including service planning, referrals, and entitlements.
• Counseling, documentation, and support services for tenants.
• Assist with housing needs, rent issues, and maintenance concerns.
• Conduct site visits and safety inspections; monitor benefits and recertifications.
• Coordinate representative payee services and SSA documentation.
• Monitor rent payments and establish repayment agreements.
• Provide budgeting education and money management support.
• Participate in supervision and meetings.
• Offer crisis intervention and 24/7 coverage.
