Job summary

CRC Group in Flower Mound, TX seeks a Financial Business Partner to own the finance partnership for an assigned business segment, providing complex analysis, forecasting, and reconciliations. This hybrid role supports Program Leaders with actionable insights and strategic financial guidance.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of finance experience, with strong skills in budgeting, variance analysis, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work and educational experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis experience.
• Ability to create, manage, analyze, and interpret complex data sets and translate findings into clear reporting and business recommendations.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with business leaders or operational stakeholders to evaluate financial performance and support data-driven decision-making.
• Strong working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently with limited direction, exercise sound judgment, and provide timely, accurate financial insights in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently serve as the primary finance owner and point of contact for the assigned business segment, unit, or vertical.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the program’s financial structure, revenue drivers, expense trends, profitability levers, and performance objectives.
• Prepare, interpret, and present complex monthly financial results, including revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow, trends, risks, opportunities, and other key performance measures.
• Perform complex variance analysis against budget, forecast, prior periods, and business objectives; research significant discrepancies, assess root causes, and communicate actionable insights.
• Maintain forecasts, planning and operational metrics focusing on defined KPI’s.
• Act as a financial advisor to Program Leaders by reviewing financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, influencing decisions, and recommending actions to improve business outcomes.
• Support daily and month-end accounting activities, including bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial packages, variance explanations, executive-ready insights, and other management reporting to support leader decision-making.
• Support financial close activities and validate that transactions are recorded in the correct accounts, periods, business units, and programs.
• Participate in finance-related system testing, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
• Maintain process documentation, reconciliation support, and control evidence; provide backup coverage and cross-training as needed.
• Lead and support ad hoc financial analysis, special projects, and business case development requested by Program Leaders or finance leadership.

The Financial Business Partner is a hybrid finance role that independently owns finance partnership for an assigned business segment, unit, or vertical while supporting recurring monthly finance responsibilities. This role serves as a trusted advisor to Program Leaders by providing complex financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, reconciliations, and accounting support. The Financial Business Partner is expected to interpret business performance, identify key trends and risks, influence financial decisions, and recommend actions that support business objectives.

• Proficiency using Power BI, database management, and SQL Server Reporting Services

The annual base salary for this position is $140000 - $160000.
