The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is seeking a Financial Associate/Administrative Professional 1 for Salt Fork State Park in Guernsey County. This full-time role handles fiscal duties for multiple parks and provides administrative support, ensuring accurate accounting and efficient office operations at Salt Fork.

Starting pay is $23.65/hr with potential increases to $28.76/hr over the first 5.5 years, plus possible COLA and longevity pay.

Qualifications

  • 18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include a basic level of experience in spreadsheet software.
  • Or completion of high school technical program in accounting; 6 mos. exp. or 6 mos. trg. in accounting or finance to include a basic level of experience in spreadsheet software.
  • Or completion of associate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Responsibilities

  • Performs fiscal related duties for multiple parks (e.g., prepares, compiles, processes & verifies statistical, financial, accounting &/or auditing information for accounts payable & receivable).
  • Performs accounting duties (e.g., contacts suppliers to obtain or relay account information, accesses financial information to answer general questions or account specific questions).
  • Provides administrative & secretarial support for Salt Fork State Park by performing administrative tasks (e.g., produces memos/forms, coordinates daily workflow of the office, serves as liaison between management & staff).
  • Coordinates business functions for Salt Fork State Park (e.g., monitors budget, travel, lodging, vendor set-up, expense reports, payroll & timekeeping, vehicle maintenance, point-of-sale transactions)

We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of Financial Associate/Administrative Professional 1 within theDivision of Parks & Watercraft, located at Salt Fork State Park,headquartered in Guernsey County. What you will do…

  • Performs fiscal related duties for multiple parks (e.g., prepares, compiles, processes & verifies statistical, financial, accounting &/or auditing information for accounts payable & receivable);

  • Starting hourly pay of $23.65/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 5.5 years of service, with an end salary of $28.76/hr.

UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: May be required to work long or unusual hours during peak operational periods.
