Brown & Brown is seeking a Financial Analyst - Technology to join our Technology FP&A team. The role partners with technology and finance leadership to provide financial analysis, planning, forecasting, and insights that support business decisions across technology cost centers.

The position focuses on budgets, forecasts, headcount, allocations, vendor spend, and capital investments, delivering executive-ready reports and strategic analyses to improve forecast accuracy and management reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• 2-5 years of FP&A, financial analysis, corporate finance, or related field; experience with technology cost functions preferred.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Highly proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; familiarity with financial planning tools is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Financial Analyst in reviewing Workday reports and analyzing spend.
• Consolidate and analyze data for technology budgets, forecasts, headcount, allocations, and vendor spend.
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities for technology cost centers.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc technology financial reports, dashboards, and summaries.
• Perform budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual analyses to identify cost drivers and risks.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for technology.
• Maintain financial models and schedules for technology investments and projects.

Brown & Brown is seeking a Financial Analyst - Technologyto join our growing team.

The Financial Analyst will be a critical member of the Technology Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, partnering closely with technology and finance leaders to provide financial analysis, planning, forecasting, and insights that support business decisions. The role will support the financial management of technology functions, including budgets, forecasts, operating expenses, capital investments, headcount, allocations, and vendor spend, and will help translate financial results and key cost drivers into clear, actionable insights.

How You Will Contribute:

• Support the Senior Financial Analyst in proactively reviewing Workday Financial reports, analysis of detailed spend, research paid invoices for accuracy and journal entries that drive financial results within Technology.
• Consolidate and analyze financial data for technology functions, including operating and capital budgets, forecasts, headcount, vendor spend, allocations, and financial reports.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities for technology cost centers, including accruals, expense validation, and financial reporting.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc technology financial reports, dashboards, charts, and executive-ready summaries.
• Perform detailed budget-to-actual, forecast-to-actual, and period-over-period variance analysis; identify key technology cost drivers, risks, and opportunities to support leadership decisions.
• Support the annual budget, periodic forecasting, and long-range planning processes for technology functions and initiatives.
• Maintain financial models and planning schedules for technology investments, projects, contracts, and business cases, and perform special analyses as requested.
• Partner with technology leaders, Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and other stakeholders to review results, validate assumptions, and communicate financial insights.
• Develop an understanding of technology services, cost structures, operational drivers, and financial metrics to improve forecast accuracy and management reporting.
• Support technology cost allocation and chargeback processes by validating drivers, analyzing impacts, and responding to stakeholder questions.

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 2-5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related field; experience supporting technology or other complex cost functions is preferred.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting; familiarity with technology operating expenses, capital investments, headcount, allocations, or vendor spend is preferred.
• Highly proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with enterprise planning, financial reporting, or technology financial management tools is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Prefered:

• Familiarity or Exposure to PowerBI, Claude and Co-Pilot.
• Experience working in the Insurance or Finance industry.

Pay Range

$90,000 - $90,000 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
