• Drive the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting for assigned units.

• Deliver routine and ad hoc analyses for initiatives and leadership requests.
• Prepare executive-level reporting and commentary for reviews.

Brown & Brown is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our growing team in Daytona Beach, FL.

Reporting to the Finance FP&A Director, the Financial Analyst will assist the FP&A team primarily in the areas of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, ad hoc analysis, and operational initiatives. This role will be responsible for data analytics, metrics optimization and the implementation of new policies, procedures and initiatives, as well as, creating a business partnership with teammates across supported offices in Retail.

How You Will Contribute:

• Lead, coach, and support the development of Financial Analysts, fostering growth and continuous learning within the team.
• Collaborate with the Director of FP&A to deliver financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic decision support across multiple profit centers.
• Analyze monthly financial results and provide meaningful insights into performance trends, key drivers, and variances.
• Monitor business performance against budget, forecast, and prior year results, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational effectiveness.
• Drive the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting activities for assigned business units.
• Partner with business leaders to develop actionable financial insights, enhance performance metrics, and support strategic decision-making.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with operational leaders, finance partners, accounting teams, and other key stakeholders throughout the organization.
• Deliver both routine and ad hoc financial analyses to support business initiatives, operational improvements, and leadership requests.
• Prepare executive-level reporting, presentations, and financial commentary for monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve reporting, streamline processes, and enhance the quality of financial information available to leadership.
• Contribute to special projects and other strategic initiatives as needed.

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

Required:

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in an analyst role.
• Must have experience in delivering projects and initiatives that deliver measurable financial results with a focus on driving organic growth.
• Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred but not required.
• Expert level proficiency in Microsoft suite; focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI preferred but not required.
