Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Regulated & Renewable Energy Florida organization with day-to-day cost management, accounting and financial analysis. The role will help manage O&M and capital spend of approximately $450 million, and will provide essential reporting and regulatory knowledge across multiple leaders and jurisdictions.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting policies.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and auditors.

Responsibilities

Ensure timely and accurate analysis and reporting to the RRE organization and senior management.
Analyze and consolidate management financial reporting including actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
Identify variances and trends, and explain drivers to leadership.
Coordinate month-end close activities and ensure journal entries are accurate.
Assist with governmental filings, including quarterly and annual FERC reports.
Support SOX documentation updates and control testing.
Maintain standard financial reports and respond to end-user inquiries.
Collaborate with project teams to develop new reporting solutions.
