Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp. is seeking a seasoned FP&A professional to support the WVMD Finance & Regulatory Team in budget, forecast, and analysis for O&M and Capital spend.

The role partners with business leaders to ensure alignment with corporate goals and delivers insightful reports for decision making. Responsibilities include preparing presentations, supporting regulatory filings, and maintaining accurate journals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related discipline.
• 4+ years' budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis of O&M, Capital.
• Strong cross-organizational collaboration and relationship building.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe workplace for coworkers and the community based on hazards and regulations.
• Develop budget and forecasts including capital and O&M planning with stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment of Business Unit goals with FE Corp expectations.
• Provide detailed analysis of actual, budget, and forecast to drive decisions on spending.
• Assist in preparing presentations to Business Unit leadership and cross-functional peers.
• Support key financial and regulatory filings.
• Perform account reconciliations with supporting documentation.
• Prepare accurate monthly journal entries and accruals; obtain necessary data.
• Lead process improvements and educate others on technical topics.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and regulations.
