Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation seeks a Financial Analyst II to support the Natural Gas Business Unit FP&A, including reporting, budgeting and month-end close tasks. You will work with partners to develop O&M budgets, prepare journal entries and balance reconciliations, and develop insights for management decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• 2+ years of related experience beyond degree
• Fundamental accounting and finance concepts
• Experience with financial applications (PeopleSoft, OneStream, PowerPlan) and query tools (WebI, PowerBI, cubes)
• Experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Prepare NGBU reporting including O&M, ROCR and ad-hoc requests
• Develop variance explanations of NGBU results and drivers
• Develop O&M budgets and upload into Onestream
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Produce standard monthly reporting and update PowerBI dashboards
• Assist data requests from Regulatory and external auditors
