Responsibilities:
Financial consultant to ensure Sales and Operating Income Percentage Targets are achieved.
- Lead financial budgeting for the company.
- Oversee Budget and Forecasting:
- Sales forecast
- Gross Profit
- Operating expenses
- Capital expenditures
- Headcount
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Partner with and support internal Finance Analysts to manage the business and maximize profitability.
- Download large data sets and create reports using Excel pivot tables, v/x-lookup, and Power Query for financial analysis.
- Collaborate with the Shared Services Center in Malaysia to ensure data accuracy.
- Work with the Center of Excellence worldwide to analyze data.
- Communicate with HQ regarding deadlines and requirements for budget, trimester reporting, and year-end review.
- Update applicable regulatory and Amway financial policies on the Intranet.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Analysis:
- Interpret financial data accurately and draw conclusions.
- Effectively communicate complex financial information verbally and in writing to influence stakeholders.
- Create reports, synthesize data into actionable insights, and design presentations for executives.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, v/x-lookup, Power Query, macros, formulas), database programming (TM1, EBS, Hyperion), and PowerPoint.
- Retail sales experience with understanding of industry specifics.
- Knowledge of financial principles, accounting, GAAP, and their applications.
Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, including executive decks, Excess & Obsolete reports, capital expenditures, sales forecasts, COGS, and distributor bonuses.
- Lead annual budget preparation and related forecasts for Japan Executive team and HQ.
- Monitor financial risks and opportunities, reconcile budgets vs. forecasts.
Innovation:
- Develop financial processes and improvements in a global matrix environment.
- Identify trends and develop KPIs and dashboards to enhance profitability.
Accounting:
- Manage processes related to ABOs and vendor payments.
- Ensure compliance with President Seal requirements.
- Coordinate with Japanese banks and support government surveys.
- Handle administrative tasks like managing correspondence and maintaining financial documents.
- Manage tax treaty applications.
