Summary
Job Description:
The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.
Essential Functions
- Analysis of unbilled items for license and sales tax prepaid items over customer contract amount.
- Accounts Payable processing for licensing, lawyer fees, broker fees, toll vendor refunds, etc.
- Reconciliation and interpretation of business functions of all licenses prepaid fees, including setup of amortization schedules; liaising with Financial Reporting & HQ Finance.
- Providing financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures, and tools.
- Ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and accurate financial projections.
- Acting as Licensing Team liaison with Ryder's Shared Services, Corporate Accounting, and Tax Departments.
- Making appropriate accounting decisions on projects and system enhancements, maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley controls, and assisting with audits.
- Supporting upper management with special projects, process improvements, and analytics related to vehicle accounting and regulatory compliance.
- Managing month-end closing activities, including journal entries, variance explanations, and ledger research.
- Collaborating with licensing compliance and operations teams to identify revenue, cost, and productivity improvement opportunities.
- Conducting financial analysis and reporting, including performance trending, cost analysis, and reconciliation of vehicle cap runs and tax accruals.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field.
- At least four years of experience in finance, accounting, or operations.

Other Details
Position is salaried, with a pay range of $60,000 - $65,000, and includes benefits such as health coverage, paid time off, and a 401(k). Ryder is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace.
