Job Summary

The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.

Essential Functions

1. Analyze unbilled items for license and sales tax prepaid items over customer contract amount.
2. Process Accounts Payable for licensing, lawyer fees, broker fees, toll vendor refunds, etc.
3. Reconcile and review business functions of all prepaid license fees, including setup of amortization schedules; liaise with Financial Reporting & HQ Finance for accuracy.
4. Provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures, and tools.
5. Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and accurate financial projections.
6. Act as liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center, Corporate Accounting, and Tax Departments.
7. Make accounting decisions on projects, system enhancements, and analytics; maintain Sarbanes-Oxley controls; assist with quarterly audits.
8. Assist management with special projects related to vehicle accounting, rebates, and compliance; lead process improvements.
9. Handle Month-End Closing activities, including journal entries, variance explanations, and general ledger research.
10. Collaborate on operational initiatives to improve revenue, costs, and productivity.
11. Perform financial analysis and reporting on performance, costs, and trends for continuous improvement.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Follow up with tracking, reporting, and recommendations.
