Summary

The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.

Essential Functions

1. Analysis of unbilled items for license and sales tax prepaid items over customer contract amount.
2. Accounts Payable processing for all licensing processing as needed, e.g., lawyer fees, broker fees, toll vendor refunds.
3. Reconciliation and review of all license prepaid fees, including license, title, sales, and personal property tax, ensuring accuracy and liaising with Financial Reporting & HQ Finance.
4. Provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures, and tools.
5. Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and accurate financial projections.
6. Act as Licensing Team liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center, Corporate Accounting, and Tax Departments.
7. Make accounting decisions on projects, system enhancements, and analytics; maintain Sarbanes-Oxley controls; assist with quarterly audits.
8. Support upper management with projects related to vehicle accounting, rebates, and compliance; lead process improvements.
9. Handle month-end closing activities, including journal entries, variance explanations, and general ledger research.
10. Identify and recommend revenue, cost, and productivity improvements within operations.
11. Perform financial analysis and reporting, including performance trending and reconciliation of various accounts.
