**Job Description:**

This position involves budgeting, strategic planning, variance analysis, patient accounts, and operations data, along with ad-hoc analysis to ensure sound financial operations. The role includes developing financial forecasts, reports, dashboards, and tools for leadership and stakeholders to support business or clinical initiatives. It supports the development, analysis, and interpretation of routine to minimally complex data sources to improve processes, operations, strategy, and reduce costs. Tasks are performed under initial supervision, progressing to routine tasks with general review after training.

**This is a 100% remote position**; however, candidates from California, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut, and Washington cannot be considered for remote work at this time.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing support and analysis for budgeting, strategic planning, variance reporting, and ad-hoc processes at various organizational levels.
2. Completing defined tasks related to operating budgets, capital budgets, strategic planning, patient accounts, and operations, with close supervision on non-routine tasks.
3. Preparing routine to minimally complex financial analysis, variance reports, and ad hoc reports, collaborating with internal customers to analyze clinical and operational issues.
4. Participating in system-wide processes or improvement projects under supervision.

**Financial Analyst I Pay Range:** $29.66 - $46.72

**Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited institution (education verified). No professional experience required; one year of finance, accounting, or analytics experience preferred.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet, email, and scheduling applications preferred.
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills preferred.

**Financial Analyst II Pay Range:** $32.77 - $51.61

**Qualifications:**

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited institution (education verified).
• Demonstrated communication skills and experience with relevant applications.
• Two years of professional experience in financial analysis preferred.
• Master’s degree with less than two years of experience in financial analysis is preferred.
• Experience in project management, high accuracy, and decision-making with limited supervision preferred.
• Knowledge of Intermountain Healthcare finances and financial processes preferred.
• Experience with budgeting and finance tracking preferred.

**Physical Requirements:**

• Visual and manual dexterity to read information, manipulate equipment, and use computers.
• Verbal communication for interacting with providers, colleagues, and patients.
• Driving, if required, involves sitting, reading signs, and observing traffic signals.

**Location:** Key Bank Tower, Salt Lake City, Utah

**Work Hours:** 40 hours/week

The hourly rate depends on experience, ranging from $32.77 to $51.61.
