Summary

Job Description:

The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.

Essential Functions
  1. Analysis of unbilled items for license and sales tax prepaid items over customer contract amount.
  2. Accounts Payable processing for all licensing processing as needed, e.g., lawyer fees for NYC, broker fees NYC, toll vendor refund processing.
  3. Reconciliation, review, and interpretation of all license prepaid fees including license, title, sales, and personal property tax, completing amortization schedules and liaising with Financial Reporting & HQ Finance.
  4. Provide financial training to Business Unit staff, including policies, procedures, and financial tools.
  5. Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and accurate financial projections.
  6. Act as Licensing Team liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center, Corporate Accounting, and Tax Departments.
  7. Make appropriate accounting decisions on projects, system enhancements, and analytics, maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley controls and assisting with quarterly audits.
  8. Assist upper management with projects related to vehicle accounting, rebates, and regulatory compliance; lead process improvements.
  9. Perform month-end closing, including journal entries, variance explanations, and general ledger research.
  10. Identify and recommend operational improvements for revenue, cost, and productivity.
  11. Conduct financial analysis and reporting, including region and branch performance, cost analysis, and reconciliation of accounts.

Minimum: $60,000.00

Maximum: $65,000.00
