Summary
The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.
Essential Functions
- Analyze unbilled items for license and sales tax prepaid items over customer contract amount.
- Process accounts payable for licensing, lawyer fees, broker fees, toll vendor refunds, etc.
- Reconcile, review, and interpret business functions of all prepaid license fees, including license, title, sales, and personal property tax. Set up amortization schedules and ensure accuracy, liaising with Financial Reporting & HQ Finance.
- Provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures, and tools.
- Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and accurate financial projections.
- Act as liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center, Corporate Accounting, and Tax Departments.
- Make accounting decisions on projects, system enhancements, and analytics; maintain Sarbanes-Oxley controls and assist with quarterly audits.
- Assist management with special projects related to vehicle accounting, rebates, and regulatory compliance. Lead process improvements for efficiency and automation.
- Handle month-end closing activities, including journal entries, variance explanations, and general ledger research.
- Collaborate with licensing and compliance teams to identify revenue and cost improvement opportunities.
- Perform financial analysis and reporting on regional and branch performance, cost analysis, and reconciliation of accounts.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Operations.
