Qualifications

• 30 months' experience or 30 months' training in accounting or finance including intermediate spreadsheet experience.
• Undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field with 6 months experience in accounting/finance to include intermediate spreadsheet experience.
• 12 months of experience as Financial Associate, 66561.
• Equivalent to Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment; Fiscal Academy may substitute for 4 months of required accounting/fiscal experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex reconciliations of records and accounts.
• Ensure compliance with ARs, policies, procedures and reporting standards.
• Prepare, process and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports.
• Research and analyze transaction errors.
• Handle cash transactions and maintain inmate fund accounts.
• Develop forms and manuals for accounting procedures and assist auditors.
• Attends meetings and trainings; works on special projects as assigned.
