Job summary

Ohio History Connection is seeking a Financial Accountant to join the accounting team at the Ohio History Center in Columbus, OH. You will handle month-end close, produce financial statements, and support budget and capital project accounting.

Ideal candidates bring GAAP expertise, strong accounting software proficiency, and excellent communication and organizational skills to ensure accurate reporting and compliance across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years relevant experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules per GAAP.
• Maintain general ledger, accruals, and related schedules.
• Assist with annual budgeting and monitoring processes.
