As a Financial Analyst Project Execution within the Global Customer Operations organization, you will provide dedicated financial support for projects transitioning into the delivery phase under the Transportation Cost+ concept. You will work closely with Commercial Project Managers (CPMs) and project teams to monitor project financial performance, support invoicing and collections, maintain accurate financial records, and provide timely analysis and reporting. The role will require you to understand project financial data, identify variances and potential risks, and ensure financial activities are completed in accordance with established accounting practices and internal controls. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with project management while taking on new responsibilities associated with the Transportation Cost+ business model.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Provide financial support to Commercial Project Managers (CPMs), serving as a point of contact for questions related to financial data, policies, procedures, project administration, and other financial topics impacting project execution.
  • Support new financial and commercial responsibilities associated with the Transportation Cost+ concept as projects transition into the delivery phase, helping establish consistent processes, reporting, and financial controls for the evolving business model.
  • Monitor and analyze project costs against budgets and forecasts, with a particular focus on transportation and delivery-phase expenses, identifying variances, risks, and opportunities and communicating findings to CPMs and project leadership.
  • Support project invoicing and collections activities by coordinating with CPMs, project teams, and relevant internal functions to ensure accurate and timely billing, collections, and resolution of financial issues.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project financial reporting, schedules, accounting records, ledger entries, reconciliations, forecasts, and budget updates to support regular project reviews and management decision-making.
  • Ensure project-related financial transactions and cost allocations comply with standard accounting practices and internal controls, while providing financial analysis and insights that support project performance, transparency, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, project accounting, commercial project management support, or a related finance role; experience in a project-based or industrial environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, variance analysis, cost accounting, forecasting, account analysis, and project financial management, with the ability to identify and explain financial deviations.
  • Experience with accounting systems or ERP platforms, including the ability to work with financial data, accounting records, reconciliations, and project-related reporting; SAP experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Commercial Project Managers and cross-functional stakeholders while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
