Responsibilities

  • 60% Project Cost Control & Financial Analysis establishing documents and maintaining budgetary control systems for the SGT-A35 new unit product portfolio.
  • Preparing and delivering regular cost forecasts, trend reports, and variance analyses to monitor project and product financial performance against targets.
  • Analyzing and reporting on cost deviations, underruns, and overruns to project and product line management, providing actionable insights and recommendations and serving as the central point of contact for all target costing activities.
  • 40% Strategic Cost Reduction & Stakeholder Management lead the identification, development, and execution of end-to-end cost reduction projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams collaborating with product and strategy managers to identify opportunities and implement measures to enhance product cost competitiveness.
  • Working with Supply Chain Management to identify, manage, and mitigate cost headwinds and financial risks related to procurement and logistics.
  • Presenting complex cost analysis, project progress, and strategic recommendations to various levels of management, including senior leadership.

You will be managing and optimizing product costs to ensure market competitiveness and support project financial objectives. To address these business needs, the role is structured around two core areas: Project Cost Control & Financial Analysis, which covers budgetary management, forecasting, and performance reporting; and Strategic Cost Reduction, which focuses on proactively leading cross-functional initiatives to drive down product costs. This structure ensures both reactive control and proactive optimization of the product's financial lifecycle. Primary Location Canada and Houston Texas secondary.


How You’ll Make an Impact


  • 60% Project Cost Control & Financial Analysis establishing documents and maintaining budgetary control systems for the SGT-A35 new unit product portfolio.

What You Bring


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5 years or more of experience in project cost control, product management, supply chain, or a related operations role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

  • SAP, Power BI, Budgeting, process improvement, cost benefit analysis experience preferred.

  • Proven experience managing projects or processes independently in a cross-functional setting, demonstrating advanced knowledge of the job area.
