Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide comprehensive financial planning, reporting, and controlling support for the Grid Technologies business unit. You will coordinate forecasting, budgeting, month-end close, and performance reporting while ensuring IFRS compliance and clean data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, business controlling, financial reporting, or related finance role.
  • Expert knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, IFRS, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the business unit's financial planning and controlling activities, including monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, performance reviews, KPI monitoring, and financial analysis.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close activities with IFRS compliance and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze recurring financial reports such as headcount, cost centers, productivity, and reserves.
  • Support internal and external audit activities and improve reporting processes and data quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize financial processes and support ad hoc initiatives.
  • Drive digital transformation by implementing modern reporting tools and promoting data-driven decision making.

As a Financial Analyst, you will provide comprehensive financial planning, reporting, and controlling support for the business unit, ensuring accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis that supports operational and strategic decision-making. You will collaborate with business leaders and the broader finance organization to manage forecasting, budgeting, month-end close, and performance reporting while ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal financial guidelines. This role also plays a key part in driving digital transformation by enhancing reporting processes, implementing modern financial tools, and improving data quality across the organization.


How You'll Make an Impact


  • Lead the business unit's financial planning and controlling activities, including monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, performance reviews, KPI monitoring, and financial analysis to support business objectives and strategic decision-making

  • Manage month-end and year-end financial close activities by ensuring accurate financial reporting, IFRS compliance, balance sheet reconciliations, and the integrity of financial books and records

  • Prepare and analyze recurring financial reports, including headcount, cost center performance, productivity, warranty reserves, closeout reserves, new orders, and other key business metrics while providing actionable insights to management

  • Support internal and external audit activities, maintain strong financial controls, and partner with the extended finance organization to continuously improve reporting processes, standard reports, and overall data quality

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize financial processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and provide analytical support for ad hoc business initiatives and operational decision-making

  • Drive the digital transformation of the finance organization by implementing modern reporting tools, supporting process automation initiatives, training end users, and promoting the adoption of digital solutions to improve efficiency and financial transparency


What You Bring


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 8+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, business controlling, financial reporting, or a related finance role within a corporate or multinational environment

  • Expert knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, business controlling, IFRS, financial analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial performance management, with demonstrated experience supporting complex business operations

  • Advanced proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Alteryx; experience with financial systems, process automation, digital reporting tools, and data analytics to support finance transformation initiatives

  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, improve financial processes, and effectively partner with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
