**Job Description:**

This position involves budgeting, strategic planning, variance analysis, patient accounts, and operations data, along with ad-hoc analysis processes. These are used to ensure sound financial operations and to produce financial planning and analytical solutions such as forecasts, reports, dashboards, and tools for leadership and stakeholders across the organization, supporting business or clinical initiatives. The role supports the development, analysis, and interpretation of routine to minimally complex data sources to aid process improvement, operations, strategy, and cost reduction. Duties are performed under initial supervision, progressing to routine tasks with general review after training.

**This is a 100% remote position**; however, we are currently unable to consider candidates from California, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut, and Washington.

**Responsibilities:**

1. Provides support and analysis for budgeting, strategic planning, variance reporting, and ad-hoc analysis for a facility, region, division, or system-wide team.
2. Completes defined tasks related to routine functions such as operating budget, capital budget, strategic planning, patient accounts, and operations, with close supervision for non-routine tasks. Ensures timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks.
3. Prepares routine to minimally complex financial analyses, variance reports, and ad hoc reports. Collaborates with internal customers to develop and prepare quantitative reports analyzing clinical and operational issues.
4. Participates in system-wide processes or improvement projects under supervision.

**Financial Analyst I Pay Range:** $29.66 - $46.72

**Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited institution. Education verification required.
• Entry-level role; no professional experience required, but one year of finance, accounting, or analytics experience is preferred.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet, email, and scheduling applications preferred.
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills preferred.

**Financial Analyst II Pay Range:** $32.77 - $51.61

**Qualifications:**

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited institution. Education verification required.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.
• Experience with relevant software applications.
• Two years of professional experience in routine financial analysis preferred.
• Master’s degree with less than two years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in project management, high accuracy, and sound decision-making preferred.
• Knowledge of Intermountain Healthcare finances and processes preferred.
• Experience in budgeting and finance tracking preferred.

**Physical Requirements:**

• Visual acuity for reading documents, monitors, and equipment.
• Verbal communication for interactions with providers, colleagues, and clients.
• Manual dexterity for handling equipment and computer use.
• Driving responsibilities include sitting, seeing, and reading traffic signs and signals.

**Location:** Key Bank Tower, Salt Lake City, Utah

**Scheduled Hours:** 40 per week
