Job description

About the Role:

As a CBRE Finance Sr. Analyst, you'll apply advanced cash and accrual accounting fundamentals to prepare, evaluate, maintain, and deliver complete and accurate financial reports for a complex portfolio of CBRE clients and properties.

This position is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations function, responsible for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.

What You'll Do:
  • Complete intermediate to advanced-level accounting transactions in preparation for client financial statement packages.
  • Create and post journal entries, ensuring all expenses, receipts, owner distributions, funding requests, and other transactions are accurately posted.
  • Generate and review financial packages for accuracy and comprehensive reporting, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Review and audit funding and payment requests for accuracy, documentation, and authorization according to procedures.
  • Respond to and resolve complex accounting issues and reports from management and clients.
  • Identify potential issues and conflicts, taking corrective actions proactively.
  • Maintain and report benchmarks and performance metrics.
  • Apply general knowledge of principles and procedures to accomplish tasks and solve routine problems.
  • Possess broad knowledge of your job discipline and some knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Lead by example, modeling behaviors aligned with CBRE RISE values, and influence others when necessary.
  • Impact the quality of your own work and that of team members.
  • Work within standardized procedures to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Explain complex information clearly to others in straightforward situations.
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, with 2-5 years of relevant experience; equivalent experience and education considered.
  • Understanding of procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze solutions using technical experience and judgment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills for calculating percentages, fractions, and financial figures.
