The position requires 3+ years in accounting/financial management, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced government environment. Temporary, on-site assignment with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and ability to pass a federal background check.
• At least 3 years of accounting, budgeting or financial management experience.
• Experience developing financial reports and managing data sets for analysis.
• Experience conducting financial analysis, including cost projections and trend analysis.
• Ability to plan, analyze, organize and coordinate financial data to resolve problems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review funding documents for accuracy, legality, and regulatory compliance.
• Extract accounting data from records and financial systems to prepare and analyze reports.
• Research material and contract charges, update files, and assist with correcting errors in accounting systems.
• Review invoices and statements, and analyze and reconcile journals or subsidiary ledgers within accounting systems.
